We only spent 2 days in Uruguay and then went back to Buenos Aires, therefore this post will probably be the shortest of the lot. Even though we didn’t spend a lot of time here, we fell in love with this country and the people in it. They are a very cool and relaxed nation and we loved the vibe in this country. It is a small country so you wouldn’t need a long time to explore it, but in saying that it still has a lot to offer and is worth visiting.

Travelling with a boyfriend who eats, lives and breathes football, when you come across the football stadium where the very 1st World Cup competition was held you have to go to it. This stadium isn’t only for football lovers, it is a cool stadium and you do learn some facts that will make you smile. Also, you can catch a lovely view of the city which is worth the money alone.

When you don’t have much time to explore a city, the free walking tours come in very handy as the guides take you to the best parts of the city. This walking tour was one of our favourites in South America so I would recommend. We also got to see the changing of the guards at the Parliament building as well.

We rented bikes and cycled down La Rambla all the way to the Montevideo sign. This is a lovely cycle along the beach front and if you time it well, you can stop off to watch the sunset at the beach on your way back.
